The long and the SHORT of it all...

So recently, I had an ex-friend trying to make fun of me in any way he can, much like when a guy breaks up with a girl and hurls insults at her because he can't have her. I once again find myself at the end of someone's pointless "short" jokes. Granted, I am "height-challenged" (5'7" last time I checked), but it has never bothered me in my life. I still wonder why people think it's funny to make height jokes when it's something someone can't change, and actually ends up to be an advantage to me. Here's why:

1. I fit better in airline seats - I always have enough leg room, and I don't understand why people complain about not sitting in first-class. Southwest is my friend - you and your tall friends can go sit in the Emergency Rows.

2. I've never been pressured to play team sports. I have tall friends, and they all suck at basketball. I'd rather be short and not be EXPECTED to be good at team sports than tall and unmotivated or a failure.

3. I always find clothes that fit. When I go shopping with my tall friends, they can never find jeans in their size. Mine are always available for some reason.

4. I can fit in a sports-car. Someday when I buy my Ferrari, I'll fit in it.

5. My girlfriend is taller than me (by 3 inches). My height isn't such a problem to her, so why is it to you? Maybe you're a bit "short" somewhere else?

Anyways, to the point: if you're going to make fun of someone, at LEAST find something that actually bothers them before you waste your breath. I'd rather here a good "your mom" joke that will at least give me a good laugh.

This is why I have a migrane today, and unfortunately had to make my MySpace/Facebook pages private because there's 2 people out there that seem to think that their worlds revolve around me.

For public notice:

You and your accomplice ***** *** need to discontinue your obsession with me immediately. Ask yourself: Am I REALLY this important in your life? This situation is ridiculous, and I have communicated my wishes to sever ties with both of you on numerous occasions. Your letters of insults and harsh words are that of an obsessed fan, and I'm feeling threatened and stalked because you and your associate will not leave me alone. I believe that you can move on with your life without me, and need you to accept this as well.

I will not be your friend, nor his, and I am asking you to abide by my wishes. I do not wish for any type of confrontation, whether verbal, physical, or via the legal system. Please do not attempt to contact me again via ANY means of communication. Please discontinue your slanderous words to my business associates immediately and move on with your life. Please discontinue your threats to my friends and associates, and any communication with them about me. Please do not attempt to show up to my places of employment. You are no longer welcome at public events that I have promoted, and security will be notified of your presence if you decide to show up.

I'm sorry we have differences of opinion. As of June 27th, 2008, I chose to cut all ties with your associate ***** ***, and as of February 2nd, 2009, I have decided to cut all ties with you as well. I am moving in a different direction in my life and ask you to respect my decision. Please abide by my wishes and there will be no need for your upset and feelings of provocation.

I am making this notice public on my blog (internet world wide web log), but removing your names for legal purposes. I feel my fans and friends need to be made aware of my worries, and have decided to go public with this situation for my protection. Any comments with your legal names or direct links and reference to your character will be removed immediately. However, any future return communications will be made public, and any attempts to contact me will be logged and posted. Your image may be used in these communications for public informative purposes.

After a period of 24 hours, it will be assumed you have read this message, or you may respond "I agree" if you wish to sooner. A typewritten copy of this letter can be delivered to your residence with my lawyer's letterhead if necessary. Any other form of communication other than what I have requested will be forwarded immediately to my legal counsel and to the ****** County Sheriff's Department. Any communication to my friends or associates with my name involved will be documented. Any further communications, whether by electronic means or in person, may be cause for further legal means such as a restraining order or arrest.

Stick up your ass? Some people need to be friendlier and learn to meet as many people as they can in life. You never know who may help you out, teach you a life-lesson, or become a good friend in life.

Don Lafontaine has passed away yesterday. If you don't know who he was, check out his website - www.donlafontaine.com.

Don was always willing to help out a fellow colleage, and did a great voice drop for me for no cost, just because he was a great guy.

Rest In Peace, to one of the greatest voices ever.
